Abstract

The canny edge detection algorithm is a trusted and robust algorithm used to identify edges in the image. The algorithm processes a greyscale image to detect the edges in the image by processing it through multiple steps. In this paper, we shall discuss the steps and what we can do to make those steps better. Canny edge detection is useful for object detection, gesture recognition, and product quality control.
